Social Media Manager. Content Creator. Brand Manager.
I am an outgoing and creative individual who enjoys studying media. I have a passion for social media and creating a strong social media presence that appeals to everyone. I have experience at companies like TikTok, Yelp, and Kellogg Co., all of which have shaped my skillset and personal style when producing content.
What I Do
WK Kellogg Company
During my time as a Social Media Intern at WK Kellogg Company, I learned to embody different brand voices and create engaging content catered to each brand. I created content for several different cereal brands under WK Kellogg Company including Frosted Flakes, Froot Loops, Special K, and Eat Your Mouth Off. I tracked trends and posted on each brand's account according to different platform algorithms. I organized and published content across social platforms and responded to comments. I ideated and strategized ways to improve brand presence across social platforms and tracked analytics to determine the most engaging and best performing content. Finally I made sure to build a connection with their desired target audience and worked to shape brand perceptions through social listening.
Yelp. Inc
As a Yelp employee my duty was to create a strong sense of community within the city of Detroit. Planning and marketing Yelp Detroit events on Instagram, and filming and producing all social media content were amongst some of the tasks I had during my time at Yelp. As a community intern it was imperative that I bridge a strong community between Yelpers and local businesses to increase foot traffic and sales. I did this by coordinating weekly events for Yelp Elite members. Along with that, I generated monthly content management plans to lift viewership and increase engagement on Yelp Detroit's Instagram page.
TikTok
My internship at TikTok stood out to me as I was introduced to the world of marketing on TikTok. As an intern I developed content strategies to increase client acquisition and retention. I played a lead role in campaign execution, pitched campaign designs, and negotiated ad revenue. As part of my time there I tackled influencer relations, tracked trends and analytics, and revenue from TikTok posts made as part of larger campaigns.
Michigan State University
As a Program Coordinator at Michigan State University, my duties included scheduling monthly cultural events and activities, organizing community outreach events, and managing university recruitment efforts. In my time I was fortunate enough to co-create a non-federal program at Michigan State University called Inward Bound. This program was created to give college resources to underserved youth in my community. Creating change for generations to come is a large passion of mine and something I plan to continue to do throughout my professional career.
